Self catering cottage in Roud, Isle of Wight

Rose Cottage is a  situated in the Hamlet of Roud, two miles from Godshill.

The cottage was built around the 1740 and the surrounding countryside will have changed very little since then. The original well for the cottage still exists. The interior of the cottage is very well presented with two double bedrooms and one single bedroom. The bathroom has a toilet, hand basin and powerful shower. In the lounge there is a log burning stove and logs are provided for chilly evenings. Leading from the lounge is the dinning room where there is a table and six chairs. There is a large and well laid out kitchen where there is another log burning stove. Leading from the kitchen there is a breakfast room and a downstairs toilet and wash basin. For those who enjoy walking there are footpaths in every direction from the front door.

There is a garden to the front of the cottage, which having a hedge and a gate is an ideal safe area, especially for young children. The gardens round Rose cottages extend to approx. three acres and chickens roam freely. There is a unheated swimming pool. In the garden there are winding paths, a tree swing, and plenty of open grass areas to kick a football.

There is a pond with an elevated Summerhouse to enjoy reading a book or have a glass of wine. Next to the pond there is a covered BBQ . There is plenty of off road parking.

We regret we are unable to cater for pets.
